Chris started his laboratory career as a generalist and moved into blood banking/transfusion medicine in 2015 when he came on board at Stony Brook Blood Bank. He hit the ground running and not only became a strong tech, but sought out opportunities to learn and grow as a blood bank professional. He volunteered for projects within the blood bank as well as the department of laboratories mock inspection program while also pursuing SBB certification. Chris is always helpful and dependable; he consistently performs above and beyond expectations and was recently promoted to Blood Bank Quality Coordinator. In his new role, he is quickly learning and taking on new projects. He was recently accepted as an Assessor for the AABB Accreditation Program. He is a team player, liked and respected by staff both inside and outside of the blood bank and will undoubtedly continue to grow professionally.
