Jene has been a generalist in the Lab but is one of the most engaged and motivated people in the laboratory. She was recently promoted from technologist to Blood Bank Manager at Orange Regional Medical Center. At her young age, she has already completed her Master's Degree and is starting a SBB program next month. In her first few months as Blood Bank Manager she has already completely overhauled the policies and procedures, re-energized the content and presentation of the Transfusion Committee, helped to implement the new Bloodless program at ORMC, and successfully navigated through a New York State Department of Health and CMS surveys with flying colors. Her motivation, zeal, and sense of humor are a model for the staff.
